🇨🇦 Canada: Indian diplomats expelled over murder plot

🇨🇦
Canada has expelled six top Indian diplomats in connection with the murder of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, deepening a diplomatic rift. Canadian PM Trudeau claims Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s assassination, while India denies the allegations, accusing Canada of political motivations. In response, India expelled six Canadian diplomats, citing concerns for their safety. The tensions reflect growing concerns over India’s alleged involvement in criminal activities targeting Sikh separatists, as well as broader challenges to democratic institutions in both Canada and the U.S.
